[Dailydrool] A request for Elder Clara

Dear Elder Clara,
Please keep your eyes open for a big brown lab girl.  She was a young girl and probably someone is missing her today.  I was driving to work this morning and saw a woman dragging a dog out of the street.  I stopped to help and this poor girl was unconscious and bleeding from the mouth.  We bundled her into the back of my car and I talked to her the whole way to the vetspital, telling her it would be OK and that she was a good, good girl.  Unfortunately, after we got her on the table, she vomited a bucketful of blood.  She was already having a hard time breathing and she was very shocky.  The vetman and his staff were very good.  He had a hard time getting a needle in, but I talked to her the whole time telling her how good she was and telling her all about you and the Bridge and how the pain would be gone and she could chase a ball and eat anything she wanted.  She peacefully slipped away without regaining consciousness.  If you see her, will
 you tell her where the other labs are so she can play and get to know everyone else.  I know she wouldn't mind staying with the Basset Brigade but she might like to cavort with other labs.  Thanks so much for your help.  Respectfully, Randee with the White House Gang
 
The woman who was pulling this dog out of the street was a kind samaritan, not the a.sh...e who hit her.  Nice straight road, no blind turns or ditches.  No place for a dog that size to suddenly pop up from.  I know dogs run fast but surely if you hit one, you stop.  Hopefully there is a BIG dent in the car so whoever did it has to pay a lot of money to fix it.  Arrrrghhhh.  R
