Hi everyone,

I need some information from anyone who has had experience with this.
Maddie (who just turned 7) needed some dental work and had the blood panel to
make sure she could go under the anesthesia. The results came back and
in addition to an UTI which she is taking antibiotics for right now she
also has a very low albumin number. This has something to do with protein
and the liver but I really didn't understand everything the vet said. She
has recommended doing an ultrasound to see what shows up so that we can
treat anything which is causing this. Maddie seems very healthy - just like
she always is. Her appetite is good and she is a happy dog, especially when
she is bossing Rocky around. I'm thinking we should probably do the
ultrasound but since my husband is still unemployed and funds are getting quite
low the $500 is a lot at this time. But we are committed to taking care
of our kids just like everyone else on this list. Has anyone had
experience with a low albumin number and what was done about it? I will appreciate
any and all responses.

Also I just wanted to mention that I really liked the way the calendar
dates were handled this year. I wasn't able to get my choices in right at
10:00 and was about 20 minutes late for that but did get one of my five
choices so I am happy. This seemed a lot less complicated that previous years
with Cecil Graphics.

Carol
