[Dailydrool] Friday, dog park day

Hi all, it's Snoopy,

I want to thank everyone for the wonderful birthday wishes.  I had a fabulous 
7th birthday.  And, Mrs Winchester, I should like to point out that at 7 I am 
now exactly the same age in dog years as the clueless momPerson .... and she ran 
a full marathon last month.  So, if momPerson is any indication, you can expect 
many more antics from me!

Well, Cyrus has a herniated disk and LuLu has stitches in her foot and I am the 
dickens.  We told momPerson it was Friday and we wanted to go to the dog park.  
After all Cyrus is on Rimadyl and LuLu has pulled most of her stitches out 
already and everybody knows me at the dog park .... so why not?  She bought it.  
She IS clueless you know.  In all fairness the vet said LuLu's stitches could 
come out after 10-14 days and today is 9 days.  It's not opening back up and it 
looks fine .... no redness or swelling or discharge.  And, momPerson limits 
Cyrus now and won't throw the ball for him till he drops.  So, we went.

And guess what???  We all got out of the car at the park and were walking toward 
the gate.  Well, I always ahrooooooooo to announce our arrival.  So I was 
ahroooooo'ing and what to my delighted ears did I hear?  Guess?  Just guess.  
Ahrooooooooooooooo right back at you!!!  WOW.  Is that .... could it be?  It 
WAS!!  A beautiful tri colored basset named Chopper.  And he is 7 years old 
too.  And his ahrooooooo is pretty darn good.  We've never seen him before but 
there he was in all his glory.  Ahroooo!!  Ahrooooo!    Ahroooooo!!!!  JOY!!  
Chopper was very nice and sniffed and greeted and he and I pranced around a 
bit.  He wouldn't play chase so I played chase with a chocolate lab girl.  He 
wouldn't play fetch (huh?) so I played fetch with Cyrus.  


The best part was LuLu.  I was playing fetch with Cyrus and momPerson and we 
looked over our shoulder and there stood LuLu playing with and being petted by 
Choppers momPerson and dadPerson.  Really.  She always sniffs all the other dogs 
but she usually scampers away from people.  But she liked his parents I guess.

Ok.  Snoopy is very tired now.  Being as I am already in the office I think i 
will snooze on the couch with LuLu and Cyrus and let momPerson code something.
