[Dailydrool] Something bit Speedy

On Wednesday when I came home from work, I went through my customary routine of greeting the boys. I went to pet Speedy under his ear and he yelped in pain. I immediately thought ear infection. But his ears didn't smell and I had just flushed his ear out the day before with no problems. But his neck where his ear canal would be was tender to the touch so like any good momslabe would do I called the vet.

I went inside to wait for the DH to tell him he needed to take Speedy to the vet. The DH arrived an hour and a half later. The DH accused me of being over sensitive when it comes to Speedy so I went out yelling " I'm not crazy" to do a demonstration. By when we met Speedy he had this huge lump on his face! It appeared out of nowhere. I messaged his ear but he didnt yelp anymore when we touched him. Thank dog I made the appointment. 

Fast forward to yesterday. The vet said he was probably stung by a bee or bitten by a bug and he had a allergic reaction. They have him a Benadryl shot and more in capsule form to give at home. We also got antibiotics and prednisone. He had an even puffer face and I felt so bad for him. Speedy, in the meantime, milking the attention. The DH felt bad he accused me of being oversensitive and is giving Speedy some major bribes. How is it that I was the accused but Speedy is getting the apology?.....hrmmmmmm, that doesn't seem right.
