[Dailydrool] Whoa Buddy! bowl

Dexter inhales his food, so when I went to Target and saw the Whoa Buddy! bowl, I picked one up. Once I got it home, I noticed that it was made in China. So now, though I haven't heard of anything of this sort causing trouble for dogs, I am unsure if this bowl will be safe for Dexter to use. After a bad experience with some made-in-China treats, a few years ago, the Dashing Basset haven't gotten anything made in that country.
 
Has anyone used one of these bowls with the nobs in them that are supposed to keep a dog from scarfing down food in one huge gulp. Any bad effects? Has anyone heard of trouble related to them?
 
I'm not trying to be biased, but when we fed the hounds those made-in-China treats, I ended up with serious vet bills because of diarrhea. I don't want to risk a foster's health.
