[Dailydrool] my first failure....

This will be a hard post to write, so bear with me please. Last week,
Harley started to act out in ways that he never has before. He had dumped
the garbage, and taken Gatorade back to the bedroom and chewed them up on
the bed. Thank Dog for the drool, as I knew that this escalation in power
was a warning sign.

I sent a note to the WRHR, and they had the man who dropped him off here
call me. Due to the abandonment that he had gone through before he got to
our home, and the subsequent feeling of loss and abandonment after my wife
walked out on us in December, it was just too much. Cathy had come by to
get a few things, and then leave him again. The man that picked him up
called me the next day and told me that Harley is doing great, and that he
ran straight to his wife. Harley prefers women, it seems:)

I just feel sick to my stomach, like somehow I failed him. I told the man
that I wanted to do what was best for Harley, not for me. This is my first
relinquishment, and I just feel like I let him down. He is an awesome dog,
and he will find a wonderful home. The stress of everything over here was
just more than he could take.
