[Dailydrool] Nicky update

Hey everyone!
 
Thank you SO much for all the drool we've been getting!  It seems to be working!!  He broke his #5,6 & 7 vertibrae, but not his spinal cord, thank doG!!  He's in a brace for the next 8-12 weeks, but at least he isn't in a halo and he won't need surgery!!  They had him up and walking around the hospital the next morning!!  He had to stay longer than they first thought because the pain meds gave him an upset stomach and he couldn't keep anything down!  Plus he wasn't sleeping!  I don't know how they expect you to get better when they are in every hour to check on you, but his auntie helped put him to sleep just like I did when he was a baby!!  That really made me feel good (and needed)!!  He's such a great kid!!  Thd lady that saw the accident and called 9-1-1 also called my sister (I don't know how he remembered her phone number, but he did).  She's called a couple of times to check on him "because he's such a sweet boy!"  She told my sister
 that he crawled out of the truck on his own and walked up the embankment to the road.  She also said that she didn't realize that he had a king cab until her boyfriend pointed out the bench seat in the back!  After seeing the pictures, we have NO idea how he got out at all, not to mention how he got out on his own!  He has a couple of cuts on his neck, we're thinking from all of the windows being blown out and the doors on the drivers side being ripped off.  The scrape on his leg is from squeezing out from under the dash and the sore and swollen shoulder is from the seatbelt, without which, he wouldn't be with us today!!  The boy has some AWESOME guardian angels!!  I can't thank them and y'all enough!!  Both of Terri's kids are like my own and I can imagine how this is effecting her!!  She's thoroughly frustrated with him now that he's home 'cuz he insists on trying to do everything for himself!  I thought about bringing the girls up for real
 life healing drool, but they're all too bouncy and I'm afraid they'd hurt him even more!!  His dog, Sophie, snuck into the house to see him yesterday!  My sister found her on her back getting a belly rub with her boys feet!!  She knows how to make him feel better!!  
So, now that he's home - he can sure use some basset drool cards to cheer him up!!  His address is Nick Robertson - 19 Westwood Road - Santa Cruz, CA. - 95060!!
