Oh Snoopy, I almost put my great flat, fluffy  paws  right in it. I was about to mail you to say Hey, don't worry about falling in love - treat it as a holiday romance, enjoy your time and build up some great memories - and then I read that your mom looks all set to expand the pack.

In many ways this would be  a Good Thing. You and Cyrus could have a little feminine influence in your lives -  although I guess you already have two sisters - but what happens when your mom gets the next Call. You know the type of Call  I mean "Hi Dale, rescue centre here. We have this poor little basset who desperately needs a foster home . . . "

My step dad gets calls like that all the time. We have had, oh, let's think, four? Step foster sisters this year. And they were all lovely and have all gone on to happy news homes. Except Dolly, but that's a very long story. Dolly has a home waiting. We hope she can go this week. But it is always nice to let needy bassets come and stay. Even though I am as snarky as snarky can be with other dogs - show me a pretty basset girl and I just go weak at the hocks.

Maybe your  clueless momperson can keep Lulu AND carry on fostering. After all, even numbers are so much easier to handle than odd ones ;-)
