You could try putting all food that needs to be left out on top of the
fridge, although I know I've seen someone on the Drool post photos in the
past of their basset on top of the fridge.  And Snoopy is pretty
resourceful.  Is there a way to gate him OUT of the kitchen?  Otherwise it
sounds like if no adult is home and/or watching, Snoopy needs to be crated,
locked in a safe room, or put in the fenced back yard (with locked gates).
It would probably be easier to make the kitchen a no-dog-zone unless
Momperson is right there.  Because you're right to be worried, eventually
he's going to get into something that makes him extremely sick.
