[Dailydrool] Bassets and trouble

Sam was not a Basset but a beagle, but he was the gate through which all
subsequent Bassets passed: he was purchased when my DH was a kid even tho
the DH wanted a Basset what he got was a Beagle, (thus fueling his lifelong
lust for Bassets)
Anyway Beagles are not much better than Bassets when it comes to the
elderly and trouble: DH's Grandmother lived with them until the THIRD TIME
Sammy chewed Grandma's dentures to pieces--- she left them every night on a
nightstand in a glass of water. You would think she might learn, but she
never did and finally the 3rd time she ran away (so to speak) to John's
Uncle's house in Iowa.
I hope I never lose my sense of humor, altho I might be a bit annoyed at
that one, myself.
