[Dailydrool] Just Some Days--

Momma here. Over many years, I have written many posts to drool, some funny, some serious, some that ripped me apart-tonight it is a heart ripper, thoughts from deep in there-and as Brudder Elwood would say--I gotz a liddel story.
If some of you are on Face Book you might of seen a posting about a old basset named Lady Pam. She was a resident of House of Puddles, a senior out of BellyRubs Basset Rescue. Lady Pam went to the bridge last night, she was one sick houndette, but she at least had the joys of love and compassion once she got the rescue. The flip side of this story is Lady Pam was slated to be  Beach Hound last year. Yes she was coming to me--I got her a new crate, collar, special bowl, bed, I was so ready, but Mother Nature had other plans-she threw a hurricane in my life and of course doing what I do for the hound supporting job, I had to delay things-after all I had 1200 miles to drive in a weekend and plans really did have to be pretty definite-then the bomb hit, Sister Daisy so darn sick-2 operations back to back in the ER no less-  over 9,000.00 in vet bills to save her. I had to let Leanne in BellyRubs know that Lady Pam's new home just went poof. My heart was broken all over the place, Daisy was so sick, needed me-and I promised her I would be there, but my heart also broke for Lady Pam, but I knew it was not meant to be.
When Marilyn posted that Pam left for the bridge, my heart broke again-you all know how the seniors grab me-and how much the senior rescues, and all the rescues that open the doors to seniors mean. Without them, well the seniors dont have a prayer. 
Where am I going with this--well---it is hard to tell tonight, I am sad, Lady Pam is gone, Nathan down at Senior HoundsAbound is not good-Wen is in pieces, and Sister Daisy is sick again. I am sitting here waiting for Doc to call as I type. Lets say it has not been a good day---

One thing I do know is that many many thanks to all the rescues out there that help all the bassets, but especially the seniors-hold them close, and please support them. They need us, we need them.
