Yes, I have taken my Scotty, Gabriel (ATB), to a dermatologist several
years ago because of his allergies which resulted in all kinds of skin
problems. I'm sure some things have changed in the field of veterinary
dermatology and allergies since then, but this specialist prescribed:
weekly baths with medicated shampoo;
meat and wheat-free diet; and
allergy shots given twice a week with ingredients taylored to target Gabe's
specific allergies.

This regimen was quite effective, although it took a few months for most of
the symptoms to quiet down.  Gabriel was a much happier and content little
dog until he passed away. What a sweetie, too.
