Our Barry would do this same thing and would bloat. There were many emergency runs to the vet. Like Esther said give Gas X and watch for distended belly and if they start to vomit or dry heave get them to the vet right away. One thing we did try that was usually successful was that when we saw the first signs that he was “having an episode” I would put him in the car and drive around town until he settled down. I know it sounds nuts but the only thing we can figure is that the drive calmed him down and let him relax, kind of like putting a baby in the car and they will go to sleep. This worked many times for us. I have been known to be driving around I-270 at midnight with Barry in the back seat on more than one occasion. I just waited for him to lie down and go to sleep. We’d get home and he would walk in and get on his bed like nothing happened. Best of luck to you and Ben.
