[Dailydrool] ear cleaning

Maggie and Barney went to the vet to get their ears cleaned back in the beginning of December. The vet was trying a new ear cleaner. The techs cleaned their ears real good and then the vet looked at the ear wax/guck under the microscope. Depending on how infected they are depends on how much medication gets injected down into their ears. after that they are only supposed to get their ears washed once a week with vinegar and water.  It's called BCP BNT Otic. On the receipt it says BKT. Since it was something new, the vet said it was a medicine that was used once and their ears should not get infected again, but since they are basset hounds, she didn't know how is was going to work. Maggie also has a very small ear canal and the vet said that that ear will probably always have problems. Barney has beautiful clean ears while Maggie has ears that turn black. This new stuff has work well so far. Keeping my fingers crossed.
