[Dailydrool] uncovered leather

Dear Rose,

We have never covered our leather couches or chairs and never have the
bassets damaged them with their claws.  The biggest damage, if you can
call it that, is that they drool on them, as they drool on everything.

I just put something in my wastebasket in the bedroom and found fresh
drool on the floor right beside it.  That tells me that Truman was
again checking the waste basket for any items he might chew, like
Q-Tips.  He doesn't eat them, just breaks them.

I think leather is the only way to go with bassets, and I hate washing
blankets, quilts, and comforters.
