[Dailydrool] harnesses for bassets

I use a non-restrictive tracking harness. These are very adjustable and
made for tracking dogs which are often bloodhounds-- deep chested. One of
my harnesses fit Mitchell, Nigel (for awhile) Cooper. (Even tho he was a
different breed, it worked fine.)
There is nothing around the neck and the dogs can move quite freely
(non-restrictive). I find control very limited with a harness so I do not
use them unless I am tracking, but it doesn't mean you are limited to that
use. Tracking harnesses usually have two d-rings and I suggest for maximum
control (such as it is with any harness) you use the d-ring on the
shoulder, not the one in the middle of the back.
Google "dog tracking harness"
or "Tracking harnesses for dogs" or something along those lines. They are
not cheap but they last forever.
