Thanks for the post about the dehydrators, think I will look into getting a refurbished one. We do have one, but don't use because it is a pain to clean and does not make jerky treats. We always buy USA made when possible, never, never made in China crap, but I once bought chicken jerky treats from Sam's Club (made in USA),and Miss Emily got very, very sick so we have stopped buying chicken jerky treats regardless of where they are made. Hubby is newly retired and this is something he can do, will help to keep him busy and off the streets at night.

We also don't have many deer flies, but we do have horse flies and they are vicious (we live in a small town in Southern Illinois, about 25 miles outside of St. Louis). Believe it or not, the Advantix II keeps them off the dogs, same for ticks, but hubby comes in with huge welts from the horse flies. Oh yea, and the ticks love him too. Too bad we can't dab a little Advantix behind his ears. The ticks use to love me too, but ever since my chemo, they leave me alone and it has been 8 years. Of course do not advise getting chemo to ward off ticks, but it has at least one good side effect. Ha

Healing drool and snooter kisses to those in need, all are in our prayers and thoughts.
