[Dailydrool] Turkey update

We all made it through Thanksgiving fine, mainly because I barricaded the
kitchen from 6:00 AM when I started working on the bird until after we ate
and I got a good start on cleaning up.  It's a pain in the behind, but
falling over 4 elongated peegs laying in the middle of a galley kitchen
while trying to cook is worse.  Doggies each got a plate with all kind of
veggies and turkey and gravy mashed up together - yes, it looked like "the
dog's dinner."  They loved it.  Holly loves turkey and tried to steal food
from the others.

 

This morning they all got small turkey pieces sprinkled on their kibble, and
Sister Holly the Very Picky Dolly shoved Baxter out of his bowl and stole
most of his turkey.  Holly weighs about 38 pounds, and we've slimmed Baxter
(who is a chow hound) down to about 68 pounds.  So Holly shoved a dog who
weighs 30 pounds more than her out of his bowl.  Fortunately Bax is a
sweetheart and didn't go after Holly.  Baxter got more after I managed to
get Holly to her own bowl, but I figured maybe it was a good lesson for Mr.
I-steal-everybody's-food.  Sigh.probably not.  Need to get the kitties some
turkey, too, they really love it.
