Aloha,
  the first hurricane has passed, affecting the eastern and southern parts of the Big Island, but having little impact on us on the western side. the second is projected to pass just to the northeast of all the islands. We had a little rain and wind but nothing exceptional. both hounds and people slept fine. Harley has freaked out earlier but that was because some idiot in the neighborhood was shooting off fireworks in anticipation of the storm. Grrr. but eventually he settled down too. the Droolers on Oahu will also be fine as only rain is expected there. mahalo to all for drooling for us. Looks like all that stomping at the Bridge worked for us--now if it can just keep redirecting the rains to the west coast wildfires. val, harley and Mila
