With 4 Bassets we have lots of beds around.  I have LL bean dog beds, several sets over the years.  Covers are washable and they look nice.  Dogs seem to like them.  The problem is that if something gets through the cover, you may have to toss the inside.  I found an even better bed and they give a portion of proceeds each month to a dog rescue.  These beds have no inside bed.  They are sort of like a thick quilt that is zipped around to make the dog bed.  Unzip them and they go in the wash.  Unzipped they can be a throw.  The best beds ever.  I have washed them with ease.  Carolina Basset Hound Rescue is the rescue for Februart.  CBHR is the code.  The company is called Wash N Zip pet beds.
