[Dailydrool] Replacing Carpet with Laminate?

Hello my fellow droolers and friends,

First, my heart felt prayers and thoughts go out to every single hurting
hound and hurting human. I think of you all every day and have been a
member of the drool since 2008. I really don't post that often but I read
when I can.

I have recently become a foster failure to a little girl named Lucy.....in
the sky with diamonds. She is darling. So very sweet and funny and
playful and a roaring scary dog when she chooses to be. Sorry, I am off
subject right now. Okay, so Lucy has had a UTI for a while. We just
finished the second round of antibiotics and some other pill the vet gave
us.

In the meantime, Connor hurt his back and we have been back and forth to
the vet but he is much better now. Charley had two surgeries on his back
earlier this year and when I woke up one morning and my Conny ConCon was
not moving my heart just sank.

I got off of subject again, they have thrown up and peed and peed and then
peed some more in the bedroom that I have to pull the carpet up. I have
the heevy jeevies just walking on it.

I want to pull the carpeting out myself so that I can clean and paint the
concrete with Kilz before the new flooring is laid. I talked to this guy
at Lowes and he said that if I do that then it will void the warranty on
the flooring. Have you ever heard such?

I really think the concrete is going to need Kilz just in case there are
lingering odors.

I have been to the archives but I just wondered what any of you guys have
done when it comes time to replace the carpet and you are on a limited
budget. Or you are not on a limited budget.

Thanks,

Jenny
