In November of 2004 my late husband and I took a long awaited trip -- a 
cruise down the Danube from Regensburg (Germany) to Vienna (Austria), 
that stopped at various towns
and cities along the way to visit the Christkindlemarkets.
One of the lovely items we brought back was a beautiful wooden star that 
was lighted from inside with an electric bulb that shone through the 
thin layered wood.  It has hung in our living room window every 
Christmas since.
This year I didn't put it away when we put all the other ornaments and 
decorations away in January.  I wanted to leave it up until after the 
sad anniversary of my husband's death last March -- to light it on that 
night.
Tonight it is lit, for Debbie. A star to shine with her new star in our 
skies.
