[Dailydrool] Things for a House

Thanks everyone who wrote and gave input on what to look for in a house. I
really appreciate every one's input. Plus, I found out there are some drool
members really near where we are going to live.

We are making our house hunting trip next week. I hope we are able to find
a wonderful house. By that I don't mean big and fancy. I mean basset
friendly and comfortable for the two humans that live with them. It is hard
to be overly house proud when you have three young bassets tearing through
your house, shedding and drooling on everything in their wake. The thing
is, we love our bassets more than anything in the house, so we just try to
make sure it is easy to clean up the hair and the drool and safe for the
crew!

The vet is full the week we have to go house hunting! My bassets have been
staying there for 18 years! I think it is going to be okay though. I found
someone I used to work with at the library who is willing to stay with
them. He has a degree in animal science (like me) and grew up on a farm. He
loves dogs. He meets the crew on Saturday. I just hope Beauford warms up to
him. Beauford was well socialized. Really he was, but if he was a human, he
would be a definite introvert. He just isn't comfortable around people he
doesn't know. All the people doing all the apprasals, assessments and
inspections just has him in a tizzy.

Jennifer with Beauford (can all these weirdos leave), Bugsey (friend, I
have friends!), and Browyn the Fairy Princess (I am a Fairy Princess and
everyone must love my belly before they do anything else)
