[Dailydrool] Heart dog

Recently, I heard an old song "There Will Never Be Another You" by Harry
Warren, which was one of my late parents' favorites, and thought, with a
little lyric change (and a big apology to Mack Gordon, the original
lyricist) that it was perfect for remembering my heart dog, Moose:

There will be many other nights like this,

And I'll be snuggling here with someone new.

There will be other bellies rubbed, other snooters to be loved,

But there will never be another you.

There will be other antics to recount,

But they won't charm me like yours used to do.

Yes, I may dream a million dreams, but how can they come true,

If there will never, ever be another Moo(se)?

She's been gone more than 13 years, but I miss her every day. She was a dog
of a lifetime, our Moose!

Kathy Wilson, Twinkletoes ("Hey, I've been here for 11 years, don't I get a
song?"), Hooter the harrier ("I thought she was kind of a pain in the
patootie"), and Moose (ATB)
