[Dailydrool] Dog in need of Foster Home

There is a senior basset named Oscar in the Pike Animal Welfare Shelter in Petersburg, Indiana. (He is on Petfinder.), listed as having medical needs. I am posting in the hopes that someone (or someone someone knows!) would take him in as a permanent foster. I would be glad to sponsor but would not be able to take him in now. I contacted the shelter and received the following info: 

>> Oscar is quite aged.  He was brought in dragging a 4 ft chain.  He gets along with everyone and loves his food and treats.He is pretty clean in his kennel.
>> Oscar is not neutered, has heartworms, and has a big growth on his neck that the vet feels is a tumor. We always attend to these issues when an animal comes in, but Oscar is not in great health.  The decision has been made to not put him through the rigorous treatment for heartworms, and then surgery for neutering and the tumor. 
>> He will be treated with love, good food, treats, warmth and shelter for the rest of his days, which the vet feels is not that long. We want him to live the rest of his life in comfort, which the medical treatments would not provide.
