This is MomPerson.
You are very very very lucky that you did not get the Brownies to eat.
That chocolate is the kind of chocolate that is very bad for dogs.
It has stuff in it that jacks your heart rate right out of your chest.
It does some other stuff too but that's the worst.
It makes you puke and have the squirts.
It can give you pancreatitis days later.
Mostly though, it sends your heart rate up into the solar system and that's
really not good at all.
So I am very glad that you missed a treat for once.
Consider yourselves extremely lucky.
