[Dailydrool] Smoke Alarm Low Battery Noise

Hello droolers. Morse is a dog who frightens fairly easily, and as much
as he hates the smoke alarm, the noise it emits when the battery is low
(like a chirping sound, very short but high pitched, every 20 seconds or
so) makes him react like a jelly. He almost went into a fit, and actually
did fit when it happened a few years ago. The annoying part is that the
battery shouldn't be low, we only got it last week and it had a guarantee
for a long time. Grr. Are there any "pet friendly" alarms that don't
emit this sound? It happened at 4am and it took us ages to persuade him to
come in from the very cold and frosty garden, and it probably took him a
good 3 hours to settle again. Poor lad. Has this happened with other
bassets?
