Well we have a few squirrels at nursing home one very tame but no bassets. 
Miss Becky's specialty were mice which would have her mouth/cheeks/jowels 
jumping and when mouth manually opened out jumped the wet mouse. This was in 
her country fields tho.
But Houdini CAT was always running away and I was petrufued if her bringing 
gifts on my pillow when sleeping but worst was finding a deceased one under 
a rug.
They are quicker than we think.
