I think your boys would be delighted if you got a herd of sheep and removed one leg from each - mmmmm - roast lamb/mutton. And then you could shear them and make nice warm coats and blankets for the bassets.  Mind you, I seem to remember you don't have a great deal of grass in your yard . . .
