[Dailydrool] Hip dysplasia in bassets

Hi everyone,
I was wondering if anyone out there has experience with hip dysplasia in 
their basset?
My 1.5 year old may have it. I visited the vet on Saturday and mentioned 
to her that if we move Lilly during the night, she sometimes starts 
screaming. The vet manipulated Lilly's back legs and felt there may be a 
need for x-rays.  I read online that bassets aren't as affected by hip 
dysplasia due to putting most of their weight on their front legs.
What are your thoughts?
