Johanna Wertz asked me to post this on the Drool for her:

Ray has had a quick journey downhill..The docs discovered a new 
growth in his kidney (same spot where they removed a growth just 
3 months ago)..also his level of pain has increased dramatically. Several 
months ago he could use 1 cane to get around, then he needed 2 canes, 
he used a walker for a very short time, and now has contacted the VA  
about getting a wheel-chair, He was unable to spend Thanksgiving with 
me & Jake (our son)& wifes family. He also has lost 30+lbs in the last 3 
mths..this was unintentionally...he loves food, but he says he
can't eat when he is in pain.

Monday he goes to the VA for a CAT & PET scan to find out whats going 
on with his joints & bones..so I am asking for lots of drool for him to get the 
best diagnosis possible on Monday..I'm sorry for not being more cheerful 
during this holiday..
