[Dailydrool] shock collars

​Beryl I do, in fact, have a shock collar and I have used it and had good
results but there is a huge risk in using one in an explosive situation
which is:

If you zap an aggressive dog when he is already in an excited state (or
wired) he is more apt to think he has been attacked by the other dog--
whatever other dog is there-- and attack. It's a reasonable assumption on
the part of a dog.
For this reason I don't think it is  useful in stopping aggression, or
resource guarding, or food guarding.
At least I would never use one in any of those situations without wearing a
bite suit or having no other dogs within a thousand yards.
