[Dailydrool] Getting caught short :)

Hello droolers!
Ahh, this is a bit of a sensitive subject for poor Morse who looked
decidedly crestfallen when it happened, poor soul. We were on our way out
in the car a few weeks ago on only a 10 min drive, and Morse gave a little
whine just as we were getting there, but it didn't seem an "urgent"
whine so I simply said "be there in 5 mins Morse. hold on!" - but sadly
this was clearly not good enough, as bless him there was a distinct smell
soon after, and.... I just knew there was turd all over the back seat!
Also sadly I had taken up the car seat cover a few weeks before as it has
been a little too slippy for him ....er......where to begin? As, bless his
heart, he had sniffed it and then turned around in it, and it was all over
him, all getting squashed into the back seat.... I hurriedly did a 3 point
turn and headed home! I so felt for him, as he got out of the car and
really looked in the sorriest state I have ever seen him, so I hugged him
madly (while holding my nose) and told him all was fine, and no problem at
all, and gradually his tail wagged. Hubby arrived out, was apprised of the
situation, and similarly reassured Morse (but had to retreat in to the
house as he was gagging). We cleared it all up.

Last week we picked friend Norman up for a walk. I did ask Morse if he
wanted to do anything before we got in the car but he wouldn't agree to a
little walk beforehand and so off we went. They were both in the car
happily (approx. 10 min drive) when we passed a basset with his owner who
had gone flat. I just had to stop and speak to her, and both dogs were
excited at the sight of said basset and wagging frantically. Whether or
not the excitement caused this I do not know, I was literally about 30
seconds out of the car laughing with the owner about her basset, got back
in the car, and in the next 5 mins - as we arrived at the quay - oh no it
had happened again!! This time Norman had trodden in it as well as
Morse (!!) but thankfully he jumped straight in the water. I therefore
persuaded Morse into the shallow water and cleaned him off. Lots of wipes,
Dettol and a thrown duvet later, and all well again, and I will be ENSURING
Morse empties his bowels a little before a car journey! It could be
because he is getting older now, have any other droolers had this fragrant
experience?!
