[Dailydrool] Bedding for bassets in advancing years

Hello droolers! I thought I would ask you all what sort of bedding your
basseets have who are advancing in years and may be arthritic too? Morse
is nearly 11, and we are definitely noticing he is having a bit of trouble
now and then getting comfy. He tends to alternate between 2 duvets on top
of each other on the floor (which is a wooden floor, so I don't know if
maybe that is too hard for him even with the 2 duvets doubled up?) and the
sofa. He gets problems too because after a while he gets too hot in one
place and has to move. What about memory foam, is a memory foam duvet or
bed any good? Also I hear about these beds that keep pets cool when needed
etc? We put cotton sheets on the sofas to make them cool for him. Of note
is that Morse is notoriously finicky about beds anyway. If they make a
noise (like a beanbag does) he won't go near it :)
Sending drool too, to all who need it.
Becky, Morse and Pumbaa ATB
