wish us luck. tomorrow Mila goes in to have the stitches removed from the
mass on her chest, and we will get the results of the biopsy.

Mariah wants Hannah to know she should definitely hop a plane and come
visit, though she'll have to stowaway and sneak in illegally due to
quarantine. Here is what she said, "Come, come, and bring Marlene. Marlene
and Val can sit on the lanai and sip wine, And we'll break into the man
cave. It is fabulous in there. Our dadperson leaves everything on the floor
in there including containers with half eaten lunches from the previous
week, protein bars in his pockets, and all manner of yummy plastic and
rubber stuff like his sleep apnea equipment. It is paradise. Gracie, you
come too after your surgery. Invasion of the mancave is bound to cheer you
right up." Mariah

My mom is visiting my aunt in Chicago and they spent today shopping. They
ended up in a store where the owners have 2 basset hounds hanging out with
them in the store all day. They had a big display in-store discussing the
benefits of basset rescue and a jar for collecting donations for rescue. My
mom asked if they were on the Drool but they said they weren't. She took
photos of the dogs and the rescue display for me, and said they also had
various basset items for sale in the store.

Any Chicago droolers aware of this store? I asked for the name but my mom
couldn't remember it. I would definitely shop more often if my local stores
had bassets with them inside.

Drool on,

Not a clue! Was it in the loop downtown? What did they buy there or what
was the merchandise?
If they were not in the loop where was the store?

Oh MY!! If it's not one ting, it's da udder!!

Harvey sends licks, not drool. Harvey has neber been able to contol hib
licker!! LICK, L I C K, L I C K !!!!! To poor little Gracie. Paws up
that surgery do gud!

Tilly say, "What da secret Hannah? My annals get clogged ebery 3-4 weeks!
Maybe because I eat DIRT, D I R T, D I R T !!! You squirt anywhere, my
squirts cost $38.00 ebery time!! At least your Mama not going broke!!

Phoebe, Little Black Phoebe, the precious why do you get soooo sad when
Daddy has chemo? It breaks our heart!!

Here I am speaking, Sue, poor 3 babies got so scared when I had to call 911
two weeks ago a day after the first of 3 chemos. Daddy thought he was
having a heart attack. Quite a circus to listen to EMT on phone, keep Daddy
talking and sitting upright, breathing, putting dogs in gated room, opening
front door, moving furniture to get supplies in!! It's taken us 2 weeks to
recover!! It was NOT a heart attack but the symptoms were the same. A
floating blood clot maybe. Thank you Lord it kept moving!!

Anyway, the drama keeps happening around here. Hard to keep going after
almost 2 years of it!! I had my second attack of stress exhaustion. Felt
like I could not do one more thing!! Called a friend to come get me. She
clamed me down and prayed for me. I'm slowly getting stronger. I happened
to have bronchitis during all of this.

When a Caregiver gets sick, it is STRESSFULL!! Even with help it is hard.
And I have had lots of help!!

The dogs and the Drool and my relationship with the Lord have kept me
going!!

I always knew I could read the drool and distract my mind for a few minutes.
I'm going to be OK

We have done the card exchange EVERY year since it began. ?I was trying to
remember the year it began, but couldn't - I've been married 18 years and
can remember card exchanges and waddles were our "vacations".
My first card was lacking any flair and the exchange seemed expensive for a
young married couple. I declared it "my present to myself " and never looked
back.
Highlights of my card exchange are: ?The year I learned joining others in
the full list cost is cheaper than doing the short list by myself. ?I love
decorating and sending the cards and encourage people to join me.The year I
made Duchess an honorary member of my household so she could grace my card.
?So many were delighted to see her grey face years after she'd gone to the
bridge. The year I decided I had no room to save last year's Howliday cards
and sent them all to a fellow drooled who was battling cancer. ?Several
years later they were returned to me by her, well worn. ?She said she would
take them when she was getting her chemo treatments and share them with
others. The fact I wait until mid February to open a single card. ?The
holiday time is already rushed enough. ? Opening my cards later lifts me up
when the winter weather is at its worst.Looking forward to this year. ?We
are already signed up.
JOIN ME TO SHARE POSTAGE ON THE FULL LIST !!!!!

Hi everyone! First off, I am not a happy camper! The Browyn peed in my
crate! Well, it is our crate, but still! Talk about disgusting! How could
she?! I have NEVER peed or pooped in my crate. Not even when I was a little
buppy! Okay, okay, I have thrown up in my crate a few times, but it isn't
like you have as much advanced notice.

In other news, I went to the vet office yesterday. The mom took ear swabs
from my ears with us. I got weighed and I got my toe nails clipped. Mom
hurt her back and she didn't want to wrestle with me to get my toe nails
clipped. I have lost a pound in the past month. Mom just wanted to check
since she is now making up my food.

Speaking of food, she spent four hours in the kitchen cooking me up food. I
helped a little, then I left, Beauford is more loyal. He stayed the whole
time. Browyn didn't help at all.

Sending drool to Browyn's best friend Gracie who is still recovering from
surgery. We are hoping the lumps were nothing much. We are also sending
drool to everyone else that needs it!

LOL, my vet is not referring to Hannah " GROWING into her anals " he was
referring to the fact that as she gets older she just turned 7 months, she
will have more control . you are right Vicki, she does this when she gets
excited, like playing with other dogs at dog training class or when she is
at home and she is playing hard around the house and running, she gets
super excited !!!!!!! Just to be on the safe side, I figured I would get
another opinion , so I contacted a vet that I took Maggie to and was told
to
wait a few months, she still is only 7 months, she should gain more control
as
she starts to mature, if not, " THEN " consider having them taken out.
she does get a teaspoon of pumpkin every day on her food, I once had a
miniature Dachshund that we had to have her anals taken out, but this is my
first with a Basset. I have to say that Hannah is my fourth Basset and OMG
she
is so different than any other Basset I have owned, she is literally a
SLOB ! she has huge ears that she walks on and they drag on the ground,
she
also has huge flews that are constantly wet and every time she touches me
she leaves copious amounts of slobber, she also leaves loads of slobber
on my end tables and my kitchen chairs and all my windows and front door,
etc, etc, she digs huge holes in my back yard and eats dirt which in turn
she deposits in her water bowl, and when she drinks, she is like a saint
Bernard water goes every where, all over the floor and the wall, dont take
me wrong, my Maggie was a drooler, but only when food was involved, not all
day long, Hannah is all Basset, she is everything I have ever heard other
droolers talk about and more ! and oh yes, she is a hunter, she loves
chasing rabbits and toads and chipmunks, she probably would excel at
tracking.
but I am not physically able to do that with her.
