[Dailydrool] Pastoral

​I look out the window.
Sitting facing the yard is a wolf.
In the yard, facing the wolf are two sheep.
One is chewing a stick. Oh. Wait. Two Basset hounds.
The other is staring down the wolf.
The stick-eater is totally unaware of the drama next to her.

The unoccupied Basset takes a step toward the house and the wolf starts to
rise. Basset freezes. Wolf freezes, half up, half down.
The other Basset tosses her stick in the air, catches it, drops it, looks
at Conley who is still standing with one foot raised and then at Doc who is
being the wolf, and merrily charges the wolf who leaps to his feet and runs.
Gratefully, Conley dashes for the house while the sheep chases the wolf
around the yard.
What is it going to be like when the weather is better?
