I am finally catching up on the Drool and saw the note from Riche.  All is well in Southport, NC.  We were very lucky with only storm surge damage and now very high tides as the flooding works its way down the Cape Fear River.  The four hounds are thoroughly enjoying the newly shaped waterfront and all the stuff that has washed in.  They wish it was stickier stuff like the occasional dead fish.  I am hoping that we don't see household belongings floating in the river.  It is still a very bad place inland.

My distractions keeping me from reading email and the Drool involve the preparations for a baby shower (held yesterday) in Massachusetts for my son and daughter-in-law.  Our first (2 legger) Grandchild (a girl) is due on December 23.  I have no idea what the hounds will do when they meet her!
