Hey Julie,

I had an Odyssey and now have a Toyota Sienna. They are the best for transporting Bassets. (and Bldhnds) I bought a sliding sort of ramp, they use it to waddle in,  it slides shorter, and fits down the side of the back dog part of the car, with a bungee cord holding it in place.
No more butt lifting! It is a lot lighter than the back end of a Basset!
