[Dailydrool] Sally - weight loss

Get him re-checked. This is what happened to Lacy. She has 
been losing weight over the last year. I've had numerous 
blood tests, UA's and ultra sounds. Doc said she was in 
perfect health and to just feed her more. A week ago she 
was pooping pure blood and stopped eating. We thought we 
were going to lose her. Doc said she had giardia. But that 
didn't make sense because my hounds all lick each other's 
butts and sometimes the poop so they all would have had 
it. Second doc said he didn't see any giardia, but that 
she had ulcerative colitis. It's been a long week on 
prednisone and numerous other meds, then force feeding. 
Last night she ate on her own for the first time in a 
week. Don't ignore signs. You know you hound better than 
the vet. They need to learn that. Keep a close watch and 
check poop for blood or any other signs. She had been 
eating Royal Canin SO for bladder but her pH got too low 
so I switched her to Royal Canin gastro that Gunner is 
eating. I think that is what triggered her colitis. Doc 
says no.
