[Dailydrool] Petfood Recalls

Wow, that Evanger's canned food recall is horrifying. As if horse meat
wasn't gross enough, to unknowingly be feeding your pet food that contains
a euthanasia drug in it, would utterly break my heart! I can't imagine the
pain those owners have after finding out why their dog(s) died.

Everyone has an opinion on dog food - I'm grateful to have not had any
issues with ours for the past 5 years or so - but I do know some droolers
oppose it. Regardless, the more I see these recalls, the more inclined I am
to start cooking for my hounds. Seems like a lot of work, but the fear of
feeding my dog a euthanasia drug may outweigh the time I'd have to put into
it.

One of my girlfriends makes her dogs food. It takes her 4 hours to make
enough for 2 dogs for 2 weeks. Lucky for her though, she has small dogs - a
min pin and a cocker spaniel. I have a feeling I'd need more time and
freezer space to cook for my 2 chow hounds.
