[Dailydrool] Dog Flu

I vaccinate my dogs but a lot of people do not. (For the dog flu).
None of mine are currently being shown but that doesn't mean they are not
exposed, a show is just one of the biggest places a lot of dogs are close
together physically, meaning if one dog has or is carrying the flu then
dozens of others are exposed unknowingly. And they go home to their kennel
or housemates and expose them, and that dog is taken to the Vet and there
you sit in the lobby with your Hound.

Or one goes to the dog park where your dog plays.
Or gets sick at day care and exposes everyone there.
Or accompanies his owner into PetSmart where you and your dog shop....

Or, in my case, you have a large population of unvaccinated dogs owned by
people who either think they are saving money by not vaccinating or do not
know any better.

So that's why, altho my dogs are retired (They kind of retired themselves)
and they do not attend day care or go to training or hang out at the dog
park, they are vaccinated against both strains of the flu.

I don't have any interests, by the way, in the pharmaceutical company.
