My vet showed me a better way to call the dogs--I'm sure you've seen it 
on some of the TV dog-training shows, but it really works. If you raise 
your voice to a higher pitch, dogs will often think something exciting 
is going on and will come along with you more easily. I can't guarantee 
that it will be perfect, but it has helped me get Dexter into the house 
when he'd prefer sunbathing.
