Hello drool family. Things have been busy here lately at the farm. Tornado repairs are finally in full swing. The sunroom roof is done, fences repairs complete, small hay barn is completed, the big barn just pending replace of electrical system. Repairs on the 3 car garage is almost finished. Just waiting for covered patio to be replaced, next month. Xander and Seth have enjoyed watching all the contractor comings and goings. Rattling the rafters when a contract team either pulls into the farm or leaves for the day. Our hay was cut week before last. It was a little light this year, as we only got 20 bales when we normally get around 50. Seth and Xander are both doing well, but not happy with all the time that I am spending out of the house doing all the farm chores. We had 1 of 2 calves born, one is taking its time to make its grand entrance into the world. I also got a orphan calf that I am bottle feeding from a local farm. Seth had a birthday on the 17th, turning 1 year old! He seems to have settled down a little. Not getting into as much trouble as he was. But it might be because of the heat...it has been very hot and humid here for this early in the spring/summer. So walks have been limited. Both hounds are very sweet, and loving. Both love people and love to snuggle. This week I am Hound sitting my little fur brother, Morgan. He is a senior hound and hasn't been around other dogs very much. So he is not up to playing which has greatly disappointed Seth. But all the hounds are getting along well. We hope everyone is staying cool. Healing drool to all the sick or injured hounds and humans, heart healing drool to all those whose hounds have crossed the Rainbow Bridge.
