[Dailydrool] Happy Bawkmitzvah (Calendar) Day, Pawtunia

Today's Calendar is Pawtunia. Jamboree's A Piece of Cake. DawGter to Cakie and Ben. Mom of Cadbury (atb), Tootsie Roll (atb), Cocoa (mia), Chunky and Fanne Mae. Grandma to Jali Poppy, Tabasco Sauce and Cayenne Pepper. Waddle Queen 2010, Boardwaddle Hostess 2010. Pawtuniamom, Auntie Tunes, GrammaTunes. Waddler, fundraiser..... and death defyer.  Happy Bawkmitzvah day, Pawtunia. Today she is 13.

A few months back Tunes wrote her own going to the bridge report. The vet thought it might be time. She had survived sooooo many health issues and reached a point that appeared to be of no return. Until she did. As in she seemed to have no response in her legs, she didn't eat for days on end and barely seemed to breath. Until she did. She stood up on her shaky paws, gradually ate and decided it was not her time. She wanted to be a teenager and now she is!!

We have loved her since before she was born. Her Momcakes was with puppy she lived with us. Cakie went back to her breeder slaves to have her puppies. Tunes was one of three, her brother Jackie is now at the bridge, along with her dear sister, Taloolah, who died having her own puppies.  Tunes lived with her breederslaves, Hank and Sharon until an infection ended her show career.  She then moved in with her mom in Absecon.  She shared her house with Nudgie and for most of  the last 9 or so years with Rusty. (She and Rusty spent a year with Hank and Sharon who kindly let them move in......and almost didn't give them back.)  She had pyometra,  back surgery and walked again, a big tree fell on her head. She had Lymes disease and couldn't walk a few more times.........she is one tough little sweetie. Most recently she had to stow away on a British Airways Jet and woofed to be picked up in time for her birthday.

Happy Birthday, Tunes. We love you. Hank and Sharon love you and your Aunties and Uncles love you. Rusty loves the left overs in your bowl. Which will be very good tonight.
