Saw your post Val, and after thinking about it - I can see it.  I’ve been fostering for North Texas Basset Hound Rescue for years and as I walk my fosters and take them to meet n greets I am forever having people rush up to meet my dog of the day and I hear - oh, I had a Basset Hound as a kid, or my neighbor did, or my relative, or....  So perhaps it’s a good thing if you are an introvert as having a Basset Hound will get you outside and meeting people, and all with a Basset - what could be better?!
