We are sorry to read that Shelby has gone on to the Bridge. We know she'll
receive a warm welcome there.
Snoopy, baby! You sure have been suffering lately. Keep your chin up.
I would love to see a video of y'all putting the basset hound in a onesie!
Great idea for keeping the sore covered.
As for our pack, Gracie Girl was the leader. We had her first, then got
Beau, then Noodle, then finally Chance (GS/AusShep/GPyr mix). Gigi and
Beau were buddies, would sleep together, so adorable. As she got older,
she became more of a loner by choice. Noodle and Beau will sleep together
on a dog bed sometimes. So sweet!
When we got Chance, he was on crate rest for about a month as a result of
being hit by a car. We found him in the road, apparently right after it
happened. He was 8-10 weeks old. Noodle camped out by his crate and took
him over. It was so sweet. She's actually kind of bitchy sometimes, so
that was a new side of her.
We lost Gigi on Memorial Day 2017. Now I don't know who's in charge. Beau
has the sweet personality of an angel; he's very easygoing. Noodle is a
lover but lets out this piercing bark if you get too close while she's
resting. Chance, with a totally different personality, is the monitor of
everything. I call him "Guardian of the Galaxy" bc he has to know what's
going on all the time. I guess that's the herding heritage in him.
I defer to Beau as the leader, feeding him first, giving him snacks first,
etc. But I think Noodle and Chance each believe that they are the pack
leaders.
Snooter kisses to all!
