Like so many others it seems like we have been around forever (20 years or so this year), but we, too, have been guilty of not posting very often.  I'm not a big facebook fan, except for the ability of being able to post and see photos  -- much prefer the Drool.  We started back in the late 90s when we adopted Poppy  -- who set the original bar for the price of royalty.  She was joined by Rudy (the only puppy in the Red Bay "I" litter)  Queen Olive came along next - she was the fudge queen,  followed by Chunky, and Olivia.   Chunky and his mom, Pawtunia, shared royal duties as King and Queen of the 2010 Michigan Waddle. In between there have a number of Beagles - three Judys, Maggie and Christmas (adopted from Penny Angels in NJ).  Christmas is about 14, but Olivia (15.5)  still rules the boys
We have made many wonderful friends over the last 20 years, both in person at so many rescue events and online as well.  I have all the Daily Drool calendars except for the very first one and have amassed an incredible amount of basset crap!  Aging arthritic knees have limited my ability to attend  basset events like we used to, but I still handle the Berea Mini-Waddle at the Light Up Berea Christmas Parade every December.  We started the first one in 2006 with a handful of people and 15 bassets.  A couple of years ago we had grown to over 100 hounds!  It's gotten a little smaller the last few years (weather takes its toll) but the locals say the bassets are the best part of the parade!
So, even though I am guilty of not posting often, I never fail to; read the posts and keep up with  my friends, old and new...  And thanks for the reminder, Bill - sometimes we need a kick in the butt!)
Marilyn, with Olivia, Chunky and Christmas (and Poppy, Olive and Rudy, ATB)
