[Dailydrool] Questioning vet policy

I agree with not letting your dog stay overnight. Most cases, there is no one there to monitor them. I can do that at home and they are more comfortable.
If there was a reason to leave them, AND the vet was staffed at night, that is a different story.
If something happens during the night, and O have them at home, the ER vet is the option for us.
After surgeries, I usually sleep on the floor wherever they decide to lay down, so I can be near them and trust me, my sleep is light....especially for these old bones on a hard floor!
So, I do know when they shift positions, or need to go out for their business, and I can help them.
Many folks do not realize the vet works for them, and they have to be the advocate for their dog.
I can feel myself wanting to go off on a tangent here.....but will not.
