Our sweet Olivia (better known as Livy) will turn Sweet Sixteen in a little over two weeks.  She's slowing down; she's on heart meds for her heart murmur, but she's still our bossy little girl.  And I have a funny story to tell:  As she has gotten older (and especially in the hot weather) she has gotten picky about her food.  Plain kibble just doesn't cut it any more, so we have to enhance it with chicken breast, or ground sirloin. The other day she didn't eat much in the morning, but around 4:00 she was out in the kitchen, so I gave her a bowl of kibble and chicken -- that was fine. About an hour later, Gerry fed the two boys.  Because Chunky always wants to finish everyone else's food, he eats in the kitchen, Xmas normally eats on the kitchen stairs and LIvy eats in the hall.  Because she had wandered off, Gerry put Xmas's bowl down in the hall. He's a slow eater and likes to savor his food. Along comes Livy, slowly sneaking down the hall, just like a lion, stalking its prey, ever so quietly.  She came up alongside Xmas; I heard some growling  -- and she shoved him out of the way and proceeded to eat his whole bowl of plain kibble! I guess it tastes better when you steal it from someone else! And, yes, Xmas got another bowl of his own! Gotta love 'em! Marilyn.
