Hello again from Chomper,
Day 2 started out in the big bed with Snoopy and the (not still a) teenager and the friend.  Those girls just wouldn't get up they just wouldn't we tried standing on them and howling at them and all the usual tricks ..... nada.  They fed us at 9:30 in the morning, why it was almost afternoon when these lazy bones got out of bed.  And then they fed us and left us!!!  Apparently working from 10-6.
Natalie was home.  Natalie left for a few minutes to go buy something called "bubble tea."  In the late afternoon.  She returned with said "bubble tea."  It was green tea.  Natalie then proceeded to completely overestimate the extent of Snoopy's disability.  Now Snoopy is half blind and Snoopy has a very weak rear leg and Snoopy has been down in the back multiple times, but on the other hand, Snoopy is completely and totally able to steal the meat right off of your plate on the dinner table if you aren't looking so why she thought he couldn't get the tea on her nightstand is really left as an exercise to the reader but there you have it.  He got the green bubble tea.  He consumed the green bubble tea.
Which, of course, leads me to another extremely poor decision this one made by our momPerson.  I believe by now you have been informed that I was adopted by the clueless family.  This is the ONLY explanation I have been able to come up with for what follows.  Apparently, for many years, a basset named Gracie lived here.  It seems she had some nasty habits, one of which involved peeing on the rug.  EVERYWHERE.  I am told that she passed away last summer.  Soon after her passing momPerson had all of the carpeting in the house ripped out (it's half carpet, half hardwood, with tile baths).  She had them replace ALL of the carpets areas with new carpet.  Oh but this isn't the worst of it .... no no ..... she chose WHITE carpet.  I am NOT kidding I am deadly serious ..... 2 adults, 2 grown girls, various bassets in various stages of foster and adoption at any given point in time and she choses WHITE deep pile carpet.
The green bubble tea did not sit well with Snoopy's delicate digestion.  When the (no longer a) teenager returned home she found Snoopy gacking it up all over the WHITE carpeting in the living room.  And I mean ALL over.  She flew into a panic.  She tried towels, she tried soap, she tried natures miracle, she tried and tried but there were green nasty stains everywhere.  She then decided to FEED Snoopy (I told you already, they're all clueless)  So there was more to clean up.
This process made Snoopy grumpy.  It also seemed to displease the (no longer a) teenager.  So when it came time for Snoopy's eye drops (he gets 3 different ones at night) she tried to wrestle his head and he tried to bite her and they both retreated to separate corners and decided to call it a day.
Around this time momPerson texted to ask "how are the dogs" and got back "Snoopy's puking everywhere and he tried to bite me so he didn't get his meds" and that was it.  momPerson was quite upset and asked for more information but none was forthcoming.  Finally she called Natalie who explained that green tea upsets Snoopy's stomach and jerking his head around makes him real cranky but otherwise everything was fine.
And that was day 2.  I have 3 more days to describe.  I think I'll take a break.
Goodbye, for now, from Chomper
